Time Allowed 2 Hours



INSTRUCTIONS

1.
This examination paper contains two parts. Part I consists of 5 questions (70 marks) and Part II consists of 2 questions (30 marks). Answer all questions.


2.
For Part I, each question will be allotted 15 minutes: you will first view a clip and then write your answer for that particular question within the allotted time (but you can go back and revise your answers at the end of the hour if you have time left).


3.
For each question make your answers for (a), (b) and (c) as concise and precise as possible.


4.
Please use English to answer all the questions, but Chinese is acceptable for titles of films, names of directors and characters.

Part I (70 marks)

e.g. You will be shown a short clip from one of the required films of this module. Identify the following (14 marks):

The position of the sequence within the film, (i.e. whether it occurs at the beginning, somewhere in the middle or at the end of the film) (2 marks)

Part II (30 marks)

e.g. The following dialogue is transcribed from a scene in one of the required films of this module:

A: Hey there, handsome boy, stop. Amazing! Do you know you have a special aura? Youre so young, but you have the bone structure and chi flow of a kung-fu genius. If your chi flow can be channeled, then you will be invincible! Like the old saying: You cannot escape your destiny. The duty of upholding world peace and punishing evil will be yours.
B: Sure.
A: This is the scroll of the Buddhist Palm. Its priceless. But as its fate, Ill let you have it for $10.
